Happy Valentine’s Day
These are just two collections of the valentines I made for this special day. (*see also the post below of others) Using the Happy Heart Day stamp set for the small pocket scrapbook and Love & Happiness rub-ons on the bagalope. I used red, white or pink cardstock and various types of ribbons to complete each of these ~ enjoy them as I did in making them. See you soon ~ Happy stamping !!
The modern day celebration of Valentine’s Day seems to have begun in France and England. On Valentines Eve young people would gather and pick names becoming a valentine to whose ever name they chose.
Cupid, Doves, Love Birds, Roses, Hearts and Arrows are all symbols of the Valentine’s Day Holiday.
Cupid was the symbol for the Roman God of Love.

Today I wish all of who visit here a Happy Valentine’s Day

This final image Amy Celona (my upline director) allowed me to post for another variation and idea for Valentine’s Day. Way to go Amy ~ how pretty !!
Lots of Thoughts

What fun I had with this stamp set. One of the many wonderful sets from our "Sale-a-Bration" going on right now. This set is called Lots of Thoughts and fits well with a scallop punch to make a fancy message to be used in many ways. I used a larger size scallop for background, color coordinated the ink for the message and what cute little cards. Inside I put a small white cardstock for a message. Coupled with the pocket card what a neat gift to give someone with 2, 4, or all 6 messages from this stamp set. I used the Bali Breeze designer paper for a springy look. I can find another few uses for this set but will leave it to your imagination now. Have fun creating stampers !!
February is here …
"Thirty days hath September,
April, June, and November,
February has twenty-eight alone,
All the rest have thirty-one;
Excepting leap year, that ’s the time
When February’s days are twenty-nine."
~ * ~
February is a Leap Year and a leap year occurs every four years to help synchronize the calendar year with the solar year, or the length of time it takes the earth to complete its orbit about the sun, which is about 365¼ days. The length of the solar year, however, is slightly less by about 11 minutes.

Happy Heart Day …
My first attempt at making a 2-4-6-8 box for Valentine’s Day ! Filled with candy hearts, kisses or a small gift what person wouldn’t be impressed to receive this thank you for being a friend, a favorite teacher, or even a thanks to your kids for cleaning their room. Either way they are easy to make and will be even more fun to fill with treats. Next a valentines card for just about anyone. Scalloped circles with a tag saying Happy Valentines Day and small butterflies with tales of i love you expressing the days sentiment for that special someone !!
Its here …. look see

I have completed a couple more and now just need to take the best picture so that I can upload them and let you see my handy work. I’ve made a birthday card, valentine card and 2-4-6-8 box for valentine goodies. I’m also working on making some coaster calendars, gift bags and a few scrapbooking pages. I need to get moving on things again so that I’m ready for my big open house gathering with workshop classes for all that attend.
Oh and thanks to my dear friend, Cheryl, who helped me change the font size on my blog so you all weren’t thinking … omg my eyes are failing me …. seems the font was set to extra extra small so in order to see it you had to squint or increase the size and even then it was difficult. So thanks again Cheryl. See I told you I was new to this whole blog world ~ so I’m learning as I go along. Also a big thanks to my many visitors from all over the globe who stop in and visit ~ please take a moment now and make a comment so I’ll have your feedback. Well better get scootin’ and get these pics taken ~ big sigh inserted here ~ an artists work is never done (haha) !!

Embrace Life

I’ve been all over the web looking at other blogs and they all have artwork posted …. but nope not Christine. So I hopped on the bandwagon and a crafting I have done. I’m sure there is something I’m missing in posting these but in time I’ll get it right ~ I want you to know this wasn’t an easy task ~ taking picture, resizing to the right format, sharpen image, and then to post … omg I’m ready for a nap and yet I still have more pictures to take and more to post ~ long as you have patience for me I’ll keep trying til I get it right. Well back to the drawing table (hehe) hi-ho-the-merry girl who’s got stamping on her mind ….

A New Year’s resolution is something that goes in one year and out the other
It is at this time we sit and look back over the last years events ~ to smile and laugh over the good times ~ be thankful for the freedom that our countries men and women fight for every day. We shall cry and be sad over the times we were less fortunate or for the passing of friends or family. And yet we wonder what the next 365 days will bring us.
I myself am thankful for many things in life ~ for the grace of each year that I live to see my children grow and their achievements along the way. My son Brian will welcome another child into the world in July, and for me another grandchild. I am so proud of who and what he has become in life and hope that he sees this as well. My daughter Marisa continues to amaze me with her determination and goals for her future. I am as proud of her as I could be knowing she grows from within every day.
May each of you be blessed with love, understanding and faith ~ good health and fortune ~ and the ability to overcome lifes obstacles.
The strength of our Nation must continue to be used in the interest of all our people rather than a privileged few. It must continue to be used unselfishly in the struggle for world peace and the betterment of mankind.
