Decor Elements ~ NEW Product Line

w0w … Stampin’ Up has gone and done it again with a new product line called Décor Elements, a self-adhesive vinyl art for walls, mirrors, windows, or other hard, smooth surfaces. It is an extension of SU!’s Definitely Decorative home décor line, which is another way to express your creativity–just on a larger canvas than a card or scrapbook page!  Décor Elements takes that same idea and uses a different medium to accomplish the same mission, making your home a beautiful representation of your style. And it’s inexpensive compared to painting, framing art, or buying new furniture!

You’ll love the unique experience of Stampin’ Up!’s Décor Elements vinyl art. Décor Elements images and techniques available also coordinate with existing products. Stampin’ Up! brought you Two-Step Stampin’, so why not two-step and three-step vinyl art that will really catch your attention? For example, apply a vinyl frame to a wall or window, and then apply a letter inside it.

Whether you want to spice up the walls of your home or frame a home décor piece for display, Décor Elements is easy to apply, easy to love, and easy to remove.

Click here to view the Décor Elements catalog.  You can also click here to view instructions on how to apply.  There is also a training video you can watch to learn how to apply Décor Elements.

So check them out and contact me if you are interested in purchasing any of the NEW  Décor Elements!

4th of July memories …

As the day ends and the sounds of fading fireworks echo into the night I am reminded of the times I’d take my kids to see them.  I would bathe them, put on their jammies, pop up some popcorn and pack the car with pillows, blankies and drinks then off we’d go to watch the colors light up the skies.  Before they ended they’d curl up in the back, fall fast asleep and I’d be left to watch the final pops, booms and sprays of red, white and blues ignite the skies.  I’d fight the traffic home, carry them to their beds and smile tucking them in knowing that in the morning they’d squeal about all they had seen never remembering they fell asleep long before they were half over.

Sugar n’ Spice ~ and all things nice …

Happy Father’s Day

This is dedicated to my Father who is no longer with me.  He is and will always be my hero and I miss him terribly and wish he was here to see all that is new around him.  My son who favors him, gave his own son my maiden name as his middle (Tyler "Vincent") to honor his grandfather and now he awaits the birth of his daughter hoping she will arrive on his birthday which was June 19th.

My father served in World War II in the Navy and was at sea during the attack on Pearl Harbor.  God was watching over him because his ship was hit at the gunners point just moments after my father left there to get more ammunition.  He told us of how the ship labored into Pearl Harbor 3 days after the attack only to see the devastation that was left behind.  He was proud to serve his country and would be proud of the men and women doing the same today.  May God also be watching over you and bring you home safely to your families.

Happy Father’s Day !!!

A day of scrapbooking …

They say a picture says a thousand words … well then these pages can almost explain themselves.  My sister and I took a trip to Florida with our girls and on the way down we stopped at Animal Kingdom in the Walt Disney complex.  What fun it was riding thru the safari and seeing all the animals.  The day was a success and these are just some of the pictures we took while there.  I hope you enjoy!

I continue to work on my childrens scrapbooks all the while juggling my schooling, work, and the many requests I get to make this card or that one.  I love being in my craft room and each time I pull out my stamps or other supplies I’m in a world of my own and enjoying every minute of it …. wish you could too !!!

Creative crunch …

As crafters know from time to time you get "freebies" in the mail for trying this, watching a video, or subscribing to a fantastic and innovative magazines.  I am an avid stamper and scrapbooker and yes from time to time I run out of ideas so what do I do …….. read them !!  These little goodies came to me today in the mail and so I did what any other person would have done ~ I put them together and made them my own designs with a tweak here and there.  What fun I had and even managed to incorporate rub ons from Stampin’ Ups catalog.  With school, homework and work all raining down on me I’d been procrastinating getting my supplies out and creating … but now … I’m back in the groove and will be posting again soon with more artwork.  Don’t give up on me yet … I’m down but not out !!

It’s a Girl …

I’m a grandma to be ~ and her name is "Ava" … My daughter in law is due June 29th so what better way to welcome the new arrival but with a baby shower.  So I put on my thinking cap and came up with this invitation.  Finally its internet debute of which I am proud to show ………

Using So Many Scallops stamp set I chose the Sweet One stamp and make this delightful rattle for my card.  Most little girls love pink (and so does Grandma) so I used Pretty in Pink cardstock, accenting with a soft green I had on hand, white and a few small stamps to make tiny rose buds to adorn the handle.  Scallop and round punches tied together with white grosgrain.  It was fun, fast, and easy to make and even better to receive the ooooo’s and ahhhh’s !!!

 ‘TWAS THE DAY BEFORE EASTER

‘Twas the day before Easter
..and all through the woods,
The bunnies were busy
packing their goods.
The eggs were all colored
so pretty and bright,
All things were "go"
for the big, special night.

The baskets were waiting,
all decorated with care,
In hopes that the Bunny
soon would be there.
My new kitty Sam
was asleep in his bed,
While visions of Easter eggs
rolled round his head.

And I in my pajamas
with the cat on my lap,
I had just settled down
for a quick little nap.
When outside the window
I heard a great noise,
I sprang from my chair
and jumped over some toys.

As quick as a flash
to the window I flew,
I pulled up the shade
and, OH, what a view.
The moon on the meadow
cast a bright golden glow
And the wind blew the flowers
to and then fro.

Then all of a sudden
from out of nowhere,
Came some lively bunnies,
hopping here, hopping there!
Leading the group
with ears long and funny
Was a plump, all-white rabbit…
That’s right…the EASTER BUNNY!

The bunnies hopped past,
one, two, three, four,
The rabbit called out
and then there were more.
"Come, Peter!, Come, Flopsy!,
Come, Benny!, Come, Joe!
Now hop along! Hop along! Hop along! GO!"

So up on each doorstep
the bunnies did hop,
With baskets of eggs.
(Let’s hope they don’t drop)!
Just at that moment,
on the porch down below,
Came the stomping of feet
‘Twas the rabbit, I know!

As I stepped from my window
I heard a loud sound.
Through the door came the rabbit
with a leap and a bound.
He was furry and soft
from his head to his feet.
To see him so close
was really quite neat.

He was surrounded by eggs
that had been carefully dyed.
Easter eggs galore he soon would hide.
His eyes were all twinkles,
His nose was so pink,
And I can’t be too sure,
but I think he did wink.

He had a kind face
and a big fluffy tail
That bobbed up and down
like a boat with a sail.
A twitch of his nose
and a flick of his ear
Was his way of saying,
"You’ve nothing to fear."

He uttered no sound
as he hopped all about
Hiding the eggs and leaving no doubt,
That the Easter bunny had come
like he does every year…
Bringing baskets of happiness
to children so dear.
